Original poetry
Grace! Yes! Grace!
From Greatness Too Is Meant for You, an unpublished 2014 manuscript by Adetimilehin Inioluwa Victor (Vic’Adex). Lightly edited for grammar while preserving the original voice.
Now I can boast in my weakness
Redeemed from my worldly wickedness
Grace. Yes, grace
Not by my filthy righteousness
Or by religious cautiousness
Grace. Yes, grace
I could not pay: deeply indebted
Now I stand exonerated
Grace. Yes, grace
The bread of life became dead.
The living water for me thirsts
Grace. Yes, grace
Good for nothing, undeserving
And stooped to help the undeserving.
Grace. Yes, grace
While men chose to accuse us,
He paid the price, not to accuse us.
Grace, Yes, grace
Now I can rejoice in His presence,
Sharing his grace, being his witness
Grace. Yes, grace
