My Fate, My Hands: I Make

Poetry

My Fate, My Hands: I Make

The question of fate comes again
Like a loved song with a short refrain
I believe not in fate’s gods’ seal
Nor in destiny forged in steel

I need no fortune-teller to know
A bright future ahead to own
Destiny is an open book
Following closely choices you took

My fate lies in dream and vision
And life? Its faithful illustration
There is no fate of wider range
That human act can never change

The question of fate comes again
Following closely choices you take
My fate lies in dream and vision
Destiny in my hand I make
