Yes I’m Crazy

Original poetry

Yes I’m Crazy

From Greatness Too Is Meant for You, an unpublished 2014 manuscript by Adetimilehin Inioluwa Victor (Vic’Adex). Lightly edited for grammar while preserving the original voice.

Yes I’m crazy.
Yes I’m crazy and I’m insane!
Ask Einstein; he’ll say the same.
Yes I’m mad and it cannot be tamed

‘Twas also true of Edison, or so the story famed
Or how can one take 9000+ epic fails
And make it worth more than dragon tails
How else could illiterate brothers fly?

Where learned scientists dared not try?
How else could Jordan try again?
When last year his morale was drained!
Normalcy is injury,

An outdated antiquity
Can’t be in greatness reality
For too often too soon quits he
Too blind, short sighted, he cannot see

He’ll thirst in the midst of the sea
Ask him about his other names
Genius, out-of-the-box, they’re all the same.

Editor’s note: First drafted in the early Vic’Adex voice and preserved here as part of the Words on Rampage archive.
