STIGMATIZED
That morning,
choruses of "hearsays"
run down the throat of our dusty earth
i heard inaudible voices:
whispering ceaselessly to the valleys of
anxious ears
i saw shadows hide their faces
behind fences of mockery!
what happened?
they claimed i was infected!
infected?
pointed phallenges,
flung out their claws at me
tongues of mimickery
lushed their tails
against walls of uncertainties
what happened?
they called me cursed!
desperate moons:
raced on feeble feet of fading clouds
i watched helplessly
as the "seeds" of my womb
melted:
harvest after harvest
"in cold waters"
so bitter tears,
flooded the pillars of my neck
i paused,
i fell,
i thought:
the "gods"
were they done with me yet?
my questions remained unanswered,
answers were murmured
like their tongues were "circumcised"
i met barren streets
vomitting "embryos" of resentment.
resentment!
it begot this heaviness in my chest
i journeyed in the midst of a crowd
yet i was alone,
reason?
they yelled and yelled!
chanting: she is possessed!
society!
they drag me through junctions of rejections,
"u turns" of ridicule
and sharp curves of dilemma
so i thread!
on this aisle of "stigma"
with all hope lost:
my fate’s undecided.
