Someone…
Anyone…
Please placate the wailing cloud,
Bid her to shed no more tears;
Let her heavy heart mourn no more,
For her tears have stolen our lands,
Usurped us from our abode
Compelling us to share in her grief.
Ask her to find the fortitude to bear her loss
For our countless deaths,
Will give no retribution
To her violators.
Ask her to keep shut,
Her screams will rob our homes of roof
And our fate would become
Like the lifeless crops on our watery farms;
Brighten your countenance O wailing clouds
Let our lands know your beautiful azure face once more
Let the smile of the sun leak down upon us
Weep no more we beg of you.
Give us our homes, we had no part with your violators
Return our lands we pray, our bellies now nag at us
We will join you to lay demand of the gods,
To give ear to your plea that you may find peace once again
