Cleansing Herself
She stands in the rain
No umbrella
No raincoat
With each drop of rain
She confesses
She seeks forgiveness
No one is with her
According to the naked eye
But she feels His presence
He stirs her spirit
Convicts her of her words
Showing her a direct reflection of…herself
It is in that moment
She feels her weakest
Her vulnerabilities revealed
As the rain continues to beat upon her flesh
She falls to her knees
Sobbing uncontrollably
He is quiet
His discipline hurts her
But it is necessary for her growth…for her purpose
He sees her heart
He knows her better than anyone else
He created her with His own hands
He knows why she behaves as she does
But He will not let her be like everyone else
He has much more in store for her
He feels her regret
Her sorrow
Her sincerity in her confessions
The rainfall becomes lighter
The clouds begin to break
As a glimmer of sunlight peaks through
She raises her head
Feeling the warmth of a new moment
Another opportunity to get things right
She is not perfect
Never has she tried to be
But, He still has a purpose for her
