LILIES OF LIFE
I wake up daily
to kiss these lilies
these precious lilies
of little importance
which we are all
indifferent towards
and most times ignored
untill they are
about to die off
around our
surroundings
or having them grow
takes too much an effort
oh! these precious lilies
which sustains us
how we contaminate
those beautiful
petals of hers’
and spit on her lovely
slender stem
and let delivish weeds
drive her to hell
oh! these ever
loving lilies
so forgiving and
always coming back
these lilies
meant to be held only
to our breasts
and nurtured with
our blood
oh! these lilies
we ‘ve all been
unjust to
but only at our costs
