Brief encounter
Alone on a solitary walk
Perchance I raise my head
And spot a dream come true
In a passing bus
Seconds of unexpected glances
Transmitting milliseconds of information
Of perturient emotions
Then roaring past the bus moved on
I bowed my head and trudged slowly
on
Heart and mind clutching phantoms
Caught in a sudden reverie
Desirous to mind on the passing gem
A living illusion nameless but named
To endure her recurring jolts
Of her memory before she fades
Out of mind like the fleeting bus.
