Good And Bad

Out of the black pot
Comes the white pap
Says a Yoruba sage
Out of fermentation
Comes the best of wines
So does child birth
From great pains
And sparkling gold
From the heat of the furnace
And the value of light
Is magnified in darkness
Never let the black pt
Corrupt your white pap
Or the darkness
Extinguish your light
Yesterday is done and gone
It didn’t make it for a reason
Darkness might rule the night
It doesn’t make it past dawn
Just make a pact
Against those shaft
Whose shadow rears ugly heads?
To scare you away
From your heart determination
But always remember
There is always good
Out of every known bad.
