I will write again
Of slum love and ghetto fantasies
of the class blindness of infatuation
And well worn chanting rosaries
Though each day is a struggle of survival
Of hunger, anger and surrender
I will write again
Of Last night and nights like last night
I will write again
Though love crept behind enemy lines
Through de-limbing fields mine after mine
Making a martyr of her seekers
I will write again
For the bumbling cauldron
Atop the hills of new mornings
I will write again the hymn of hope
