She Still Shines
She Still Shines
Darkness looms around her
Whispers fill the air
As she sits crying…alone
Doubts begin to build
Fears bring more tears
While her faith drops lower
A glimmer of light fills the room
Drawing her attention
As she slowly stands
Weak
Staggering
She stumbles to the door
As she opens the door, sunlight greets her
Causing her to shield her eyes
While a smile fills her face
She feels His presence
Driving away all negativity
As the sun rays warm her cool skin
She walks through the grass
As she stands in the midst of the open field
She hears a familiar voice within her soul
Slowly she closes her eyes
Raising her arms above her head
She begins to move gracefully to the sound of the wind
She finds herself humming
Her favorite hymn as she moves
Praising her Father through dance
Again, He has helped her through darkness
Sheltered her from the enemy and his lies
All while pouring His love and grace upon her devoted spirit
Her dance is one of thankfulness
As she expresses to Him how much she loves Him
Taking the time to let Him know…she still shines!
