About me

I Create for a Posterity Worthy of the African Experience

I am Adetimilehin Inioluwa Victor - Vic’Adex. At my core, I carry the burden of a witness and a builder. I witness the struggles and the beauty of my people through words that do not flinch from truth. I build by translating that witness into vision, strategies, and communities that strengthen others to stand taller than I did, or could.

My work is not only about what I create today, but about what will remain tomorrow. Posterity is my audience: young poets yet to speak, mothers yet to be heard, communities yet to rise. I create so that when the future looks back, they will inherit more than memory; they will inherit, among other things, a vision, a voice, and a path worthy of the African experience.

My Core Philosophy

I believe sustainable transformation must be human, cultural, creative, and strategic. Too often, development stagnates when it ignores human and cultural context. Culture weakens when it lacks frameworks for growth and the ability to evolve with the times. Creativity becomes orphaned when it has no support to bloom into something that serves.

My work insists that transformation is only real when these elements stand together: human at the center, culture as the root, creativity as the spark, and strategy as the frame. Without them, what we build will not endure.

My Bio

Adetimilehin Inioluwa Victor (Vic’Adex) discovered his passion for creative expression as the only means of positively interpreting life.. First as a poet in the mid 2000s and as a painter in the 2010s. Driven by curiosity, he pledged to be a lifelong learner; hence opening up the hungry soul of a serial creative.

With a pre-varsity background in the sciences, a childhood in poetry and adolescence in painting, Victor draws multimodal influences in his work. Each mode and method is brought into service of passionate vision.

Victor's emergence as a significant voice in Nigerian poetry was marked by his recognition among Nigeria's Top 10 Contemporary Poets by the EGC in 2015. His spoken word performances, characterized by staccato flow and thought-provoking poems that resonate with themes calling for freedom and emancipation of the downtrodden.

His literary achievements include winning War of Words VI (Best Performance) and receiving the ART.38Ng Spoken Word Prize for promoting religious tolerance through his art. These early recognitions established him as a poet whose work transcends entertainment to address critical social issues
Victor's commitment to excellence extends beyond his artistic practice into formal education and professional development. He is currently pursuing an MBA at Ahmadu Bello University and an MA in Mass Communication at Liverpool John Moores University, demonstrating his dedication to bridging creative and analytical thinking.

His professional development has been enhanced through prestigious fellowships, including the Global Arts in Medicine Fellowship (2022), McKinsey Forward (2023), and his participation in the British Council Policy Lab (2019). These experiences have shaped his approach to using creativity for social impact and organizational transformation.

Victor serves as Manager at the Solina Centre for International Development and Research (SCIDaR), where he leads storytelling and visibility across more than 50 health and development projects throughout Africa. His consulting work includes regional campaigns for the International Labour Organization, addressing child labor across Nigeria, and leading the EU-funded anti-misinformation campaign "Working Together Against Corona" in Nigeria's Northeast.

These projects showcase his ability to translate complex social issues into accessible, actionable communication strategies.
Victor's commitment to fostering creative expression in underserved communities led him to found Open Mic Ogbomoso in 2015 and Open Mic Maiduguri in 2020. These platforms have become vital cultural spaces, nurturing emerging artists and providing safe venues for creative expression and community dialogue.

Through the Punpoets collective, he mentors younger poets, sharing not only artistic techniques but also the strategic thinking necessary for sustainable creative careers. His regular role as a judge for poetry competitions further demonstrates his commitment to developing the next generation of Nigerian artists.
Victor's work extends into trauma-informed arts programming, where he has led initiatives with children formerly associated with armed groups. These programs, developed in partnership with UNICEF, Goal Prime, and the Borno State Ministry of Women Affairs, integrate mural storytelling into psychosocial support frameworks.

His approach to humanitarian work reflects his understanding that healing requires both individual expression and community connection. By combining his artistic skills with strategic communications expertise, he creates programs that address immediate needs while building long-term resilience.
As the founder of Vic'Adex Concepts and Aesthetic Resources and curator of @60SecondsPoetry, Victor has embraced digital platforms as spaces for "lyrical reflection and cultural truth-telling." This digital innovation allows him to reach audiences beyond traditional performance spaces while maintaining the intimacy and authenticity that characterize his work.

He is the upcoming author of two poetry collections: "Poetry Has All My Pain" and "Love Through the Eyes of a Naive Village Boy." These forthcoming works promise to showcase the depth and evolution of his artistic voice while addressing universal themes through his distinctly Nigerian perspective.
