31 DAYS OF POETRY- DAY 20- POSTERITY WILL QUESTION US- by Damilola Ojo

Their eyes sparkle,

gleaming at the possibilities of achievement,

bodily perversion contravening the law of nature,

the pulchritude of its eventuality glows in the minds of its initiators.

‘Soul nature differs from physical appearance’

The message of this deviance gradually pierces our conservative tradition,

robbing our memory of its innocence,

 creeping into our thoughts,

fine tuning the possibility of this ravishing evil.

Its delicious fruit churns our bellies,

creating a mix up of what should be or not.

Their goals gently approaching completion,

stealing what we know is of right intuition.

Posterity will question us for this dilemma,

where yesterday’s man becomes today’s woman,

where humans of equal bio engage in the ‘former’ abomination,

where children are confused on who is daddy

because he decided to become a she.

The idiocy of our acts will come running when it is dawn

and the slaps on our faces will shake us to reality far damaged to be repaired.
