The last lap
When wuru-wuru wolves were walking about
Generations unborn in advance come to doubt
If mother earth will again sprout
If northern winds will again go to south
The dead will return to recoil the rout
And that’s why the living have to shout
Until the results were cancelled out
Now Panjandrums, you lost that bout
No more night schemes for you to scout
Nigeria now is strong and stout
Against moneybags and the nation’s tout
Democracy refused to go round about
The game is not for the teams who flout.
