The moral question — Amin I. Gwani

The moral question

Who is to blame the politicians fail
Some do blame the parties executives
While others say blame the money bags
I and you blame the alien system

If history does manifest itself
The unfolding of events really did reflect
Me and you would really understand
Who to blame.

Like father like son leaders are at fault
They set the precedence, might is right
They also taught us money buys support
They also decreed money silence opposition
From top to bottom our society is decaying
We have been cut from our history
Our roots have been forgotten
Where do we now take shelter?
Where shall we find refuge?
Our dream in democracy is now at lost

Our hope in democracy is stashed
Bad seeds of democracy planted
And it did germinate what it is
I and you know who planted the seeds

Have they got the moral gut?
Will they openly say the politicians have failed?
How do we answer the moral question?

Me and you know who to blame.
