Ejika [Shoulder]
Sitting, held
by the wind of thought.
On the winged tree
of the owls, Igi Araba,
I sit, taken aback.
Eledumare* blesses the day
the sun from your beauty
shone on the dark places of my heart.
Swung in to the pool of love.
Taken away by the secrets of care
into the landscape where singing
birds perches.
I became the wound you nursed.
the wounds from the shattered pieces
of my heart are mended by the kisses
from her soothing lips.
I’m still on this tree,
sharing my night with the listening birds-
I still stupor from the saliva of lust
spitted into my eager tongue, last night.
When I cared less,
I’m brought back into the love world
‘by the moonful smiles
that lights my troubled night.
Iwo lejika tio ma
jekasho boo lorun mi*
-you are the shoulder
on which my linen sits.
God, eledumare blesses the day
I met you in the dream of reality.
Thank You…!
