Grace
Father as I look around
I see your handiwork
I see you moving on behalf
Of your people,
Who are earnestly trying to seek
Your face
We are covered by grace
Thank you Lord!
The grace you give is not
Wrapped up between two stone
Tablets
But your
Grace was wrapped in the
Body of Christ
I see you now,
I hear you very clear
I trust you for the grace that
You gave!
Your grace is not harsh,
But gentle,
Your grace is not oppressive,
But tangible,
Your grace is not distant but very near
Your grace brings togetherness
Not separation
Your grace is not
Based on rules and regulations
And conformity,
Or how good you are,
Or how best you,
Pay your tithes
But it is based solely on the
LOVE
Of God!
Stone grace is unhealthy for the mind,
And uneasy for the spirit,
Stone grace demeans and ridicules,
Vents words of man-made
Ideology and tradition
Moreover,
Instant gratification
Based on the work you do
Stone grace has limited possibilities
It can’t move,
You beyond the veil
It can only give you a temporal fix,
That is solely upon
How many times
You’ve physically and mentally
Beaten your self into subjection
How many times
You’ve declared how wretched
You are,
Not deserving of the love
That God offers
This is not Christ centered grace
True grace was persecuted,
Alienated,
And validated,
Upon the cross!
There is no need for ritualistic jargon
End of year fiscal performance
The grace of God is simply a gift
A gift that you can never earn,
A gift that you didn’t deserve,
A gift that can’t be measured by
The clout that you carry
Or the amount of money
You perpetrated and buried,
This is the righteous grace of God
Given to all who will receive
And believe
That grace abounds in your life
Because of Jesus Christ!
So, no more, worries about
How good or bad you are
Or
How you lied,
Cheated and steal!
How sometimes worthless the people around
You make you feel
How they tell you
That no matter what you do
You will never be healed,
Because of what you’ve done
Take a breath, and look up to the
SON
Knowing that through him
Your victory was won
Declare
I am a sinner
SAVED by GRACE
No longer do I need to justify
My God-given space
All that I am
And
Ever hope to be is
Based on
HIS
GRACE!
