Lines for the forty fourth Birthday of Noleen Utterance Desiree Titus
Now you accost the age
Of forty and four updates
Theses are the muse’s years
When frivolous doubts abates
To be substituted by rage
Or writings of the spheres
Not that I wish you rage
In irked and shuddered lines
That are recurring now
Nor yet the harmony
That others come to see
In vanished emblematic signs
You most of all know how
Oldwomen, I say old women’s
For in a different time
Forty four was old, although you
Are coming into your prime
With your finest work to do
Which might have ended then
Operated their furthermost feats
At leisure and alone
Having fraught apart
In order in their art
The choeas of the heart
Great writes have been known
Before the ages of fifty
You have accomplished so much
At which the expatiates
For many can never reach
That noble candid speech
Which you have embraced in forties
To succeed in the end
All that you yet have penned
Is formulation done
In relation to the master work
Which impasses it into one
With knotty precision
You have accomplished beyond
The vivid responsive quirk
In relation to the wider vision
That the wonder master saw
and now as if by our law
Your work must correspond
To their immense utterance
Illuminating its strenght
And inspiring in its dance
Which is not wholly song
And yet not only speech
Throughout your world at lenght
Be passionate, zealous, patient, strong.
Happy Birthday to you ma’am.
Cheers!!!
