THE SUN WILL SHINE.

Poem by Justice Gift Ogochukwu · 2026

THE SUN WILL SHINE.
My whole world is a pain.
Though it won’t be today, someday I’ll hope again.
Beauty will come from pain.
My dreams ran like sand through my clutched fingers.
Hope did crash-land
Night, fright, plight are all that lingers.
I’ll hope again.
There will be a dawn.
I’ve cried my last about my past.
After this pain is the gain.
Not today but it’ll sure come my way.
The sun will smile in my skies.
My dreams will be mine.
I’ll drink of the future’s wine.
I’ll have her grains and gain.
I’ll hope again.
